PennDesign Fall 2011

Hinge Network is an investigation of the movement of a standard sing arm lamp. Through deconstruction of the original form, a close analysis of its parts could be achieved. Reconfiguration of elements was possible once an understanding of their innate properties was reached. This understanding and parametric design provided the ability to reconfigure components into a new form based on the same principles of the original object.
